Roofer Maintenance Operative

About this role

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Installation: Measure, cut, and fit roofing materials (shingles, tiles, metal sheets, or insulation)

    • Repair and Maintenance: Inspect roofs for leaks, cracks, or weather damage and replace broken slates or tiles.

    • Replace and repair flat roof felt.

    • Client Communication: Discuss repair options, material choices, with supervisors and contract manager.

      Requirements and Qualifications

    • Proven experience as a roofer or in general construction.

    • Ability to use hand and power tools safely.

    • Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.

    • A valid driver's license.

Health & Safety:

  • Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company policy at all times.

  • Report any accidents or issues regarding health & safety appropriately.

  • Ensure all Risk Assessments & safe systems of work are read, understood, signed and followed.

  • Observe & follow all manual handling practices.

         In addition:-

  • As the majority of the work will be conducted in Public Sector or Housing Associations properties, we will require a recent Enhanced Access NI certificate CTS will perform a Access NI check as part of the on-boarding process.

  • Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar an individual from employment. We operate a written policy on the recruitment of ex-offenders, which is available on request and forms part of our employee handbook provided at the point of secure employment.

  • We have a policy on the secure handling, use, storage and retention of disclosure information, which is available on request and is also included in our employee handbook.
