General Operative
Applications are invited for the position of General Operative at Cam Quarry, Co. Longford. The person appointed will report to the Cam Quarry Location Manager.
Key areas of responsibility:
• Driving loading shovel or dump truck in a safe & efficient manner.
• Loading of customer vehicles in a safe and a timely fashion.
• Operating and monitoring stone processing plants as required.
• Actively involved in maintaining good housekeeping around the production process plants.
• Involved in maintenance duties.
• Carry out daily inspection of the assigned vehicle(s) to ensure it is maintained in a good working condition.
• Complying with all health and safety requirements.

• Team player with an ability to work on own and to take initiative.
• Trustworthy.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with employees and customers visiting the site.
• Experience in operating machinery such as excavator, loading shovel or dump truck.
• Possession of a valid Solas QSCS card for the above machines would be an advantage.
• An ability to operate to strict timelines/deadlines.
