Gardener
An Chúirt Hotel are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Gardener to join our team. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty of our Hotel's outdoor spaces in the picturesque area of Gweedore. From planting and pruning to watering and weeding, you will play a vital role in ensuring that gardens thrive and flourish under your care.
About the role
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and fertilizing lawns.
Plant, cultivate, and care for flowers, shrubs, and trees.
Prune and trim trees, hedges, and other plantings to maintain their health and appearance.
Weed and remove invasive plants to maintain garden beds.
Monitor and control pests and diseases to prevent damage to plants.
Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering.
Keep garden tools and equipment clean and in good working condition.
Assist with landscape construction projects as needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Gardener or similar role.
Solid knowledge of plant care techniques and horticultural practices.
Ability to operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools.
Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
