ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a passionate and qualified Swim Teacher to deliver engaging, safe, and effective swimming lessons for children of all ages, including babies and toddlers. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching water confidence and safety skills to young children, with a nurturing approach to ensure a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality swimming lessons tailored to different age groups, including babies and toddlers.
Create a safe, fun, and supportive environment to foster water confidence and safety.
Assess individual student needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
Prepare and organize lesson plans and activities suitable for various age groups.
Promote a positive image of the swim school through professionalism and enthusiasm.
Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and attend relevant training sessions.
About the role
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Relevant swimming teaching qualification.
Lifeguard Certification.
Proven experience teaching children, especially babies and toddlers.
Knowledge of infant and child water safety techniques.
First Aid certification (desirable but not essential).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, caring, and adaptable approach to teaching young children.
Skills & Attributes:
Passion for teaching and working with children.
Ability to create a fun, engaging, and safe learning environment.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Enthusiastic and reliable.
Additional Information:
Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings preferred.
Willingness to undergo background checks and child protection training.
