About the role

Key Duties will include: · Responsibility for the day to day management of the Culloden Estate and Spa. · Accountability for the financial management, planning, organising, and directing all hotel services. · Managing budgets and financial plans as well as controlling expenditure. · Managing heads of departments to coordinate and monitor the progress of business strategies. · Promoting and marketing the Culloden Estate and Spa · Planning to maximize profits, attention to detail, setting the example for staff to deliver a standard of service and presentation that meets guests’ needs and expectations. · Responsibility for ensuring a highly customer focused environment is maintained always. · Liaising with and utilizing the support of suppliers and other external contacts as appropriate. · Ensuring an effective and safe working environment is maintained in compliance with appropriate legislation, such as Licensing Laws, Health & Safety, and other statutory requirements. · Maintaining and strengthening the Hotels’ commitment to having a well presented, well trained and efficient workforce that reflects its hospitality rating. This is a demanding role requiring a confident, hospitality experienced professional who can drive standards of service synonymous with the Hastings brand through highly successful teams. The General Manager role is a full-time position with a competitive salary on offer.

What you will need

Required criteria

  • Previous General Manager experience within a 5* and/or 4* environment. • Educated to 3rd Level standard preferably with a Business Management or Hospitality Qualification.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. • A results driven approach with the ability to meet/exceed deadlines
  • A strong understanding of financial processes • The ability to prioritise, plan, organise and ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
  • The ability to inspire others and engage professionally with people. • Excellent people management skills.
  • Excellent sector and business management knowledge
