We have an exciting role for an Assistant Operations Manager
Rule Purpose: To manage and provide leadership for the warehousing and logistics function of the business. While delivering high performance against KPIs and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Accountable to: Operations Manager
Accountable for: Operations Function – Logistics, Ambient and CFF
Key Relationships: Senior Management, Department Managers, Trading and Sales Team, HR, H&S, Customer Service, External clients and customers

About the role
Responsibilities
· Provide leadership and guidance to the logistics and warehousing teams.
· Ensure performance delivery against key targets/metrics
· Drive a culture of continuous improvement and cost reduction to maximise efficiency and effectiveness within a fast-moving environment.
· Manage and motivate performance across all teams.
· Lead and drive key logistics movement initiatives to improve customer support whilst minimising cost.
· Ensure logistics remain fully compliant on all European Standards
· Effective budget and resource management
· Preparation and delivery of various management reports
· Ensure all Health and Safety standards and requirements are met.
· Effectively communicate with internal and external customers
· Effectively communicate with all 3rd party partners
· Ensure the organisation’s HR policies and procedures are followed.
· Development and retention of staff and team members
What you will need
Required criteria
- Must hold an International CPC – with a minimum 3 years hands on experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Experience of logistics or operations management within a highly organised ERP/MRP environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent People Management skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work individually or as part of a team.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Able to demonstrate the application of continuous improvement techniques
- Commercially driven
- Results orientated
- Able to operate outside core hours when required and travel to other sites on occasions.
- • 3rd level qualification in a related discipline • or successful completion of a relevant, accredited company development programme. • Or a minimum 8 years managing
