Main Function of Position
To supervise the Front Office service within the Hotel and ensure that customers are served promptly & courteously, in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and at all times in line with safety and hygiene regulations. Responsible to ensure that all customers who visit or contact the hotel or use the facilities have their expectations met & exceeded, that the four-star standard of the hotel is consistently achieved and maintained. To motivate & lead the Front Office & Reservation Teams to achieve this, to work as part of the wider hotel team to promote a positive image of the hotel at all times

Operational
Supervise the Front Office service within the Hotel
Report and liaise regularly with Front Office Manager regarding departmental performance and ensure they are informed of any relevant information or issues
Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal & external customers
Liaise with relevant departments regarding upcoming events and promotions
Liaise with accounts department to ensure that invoices are correct and that cash procedures are adhered to
Working shift work & weekends, bank holidays/public holidays, ensuring prompt timekeeping and attendance
Ensure breaks are organised in accordance with fluctuations in the volume of business
Carryout any reasonable request by Front Office Manager & Departmental Managers
A thorough knowledge of the Hotels Management System is required to ensure correct procedures are always followed
To ensure staff provide a professional and warm welcome to all guests
To collate and deliver accurate reports on all aspects of reception on request from manager
To actively train and develop the Reception/Reservation’s Teams
To have a thorough understanding of all requirements of the check in/out process (confirm booking, length of stay, package, etc.)
Handle all guest enquiries and complaints in a professional manner
Ensure all cash, guest charges, floats and till procedures are carried out in accordance with Company policy
Carryout any reasonable request by Front Office & Departmental Managers
What you will need
Required criteria
- Candidate must have at least 1 year Reception experience
- Candidate must have at least 2 years customer service experience
Desired criteria
- Previous experience of managing staff is preferable
- Experience in a similar role
