In-house Legal Counsel

We have an exciting, In-house Legal Counsel opportunity, which will join our established Legal team based at our Head office in Leith, Edinburgh. This is a newly created role as a result of growth, and presents a unique opportunity to gain quality, varied exposure on a wide range of legal work.
This role would suit someone with around 2 years PQE experience gained within private practice, or in-house, with a background in commercial law.
About the role
Within this role you will reporting directly to our Head of Legal, and will work in a small, established team who provide a wide range of services both internally and externally.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide commercially focused legal advice on commercial contracts with customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts
Assisting with company secretarial duties
Supporting with regulatory and compliance matters
Staying up to date with legislation relevant to the company and its activities
What are we looking for?
Qualified from any UK jurisdiction
2 years+ PQE from private practice or in-house (Commercial / Corporate is preferred)
Commercial property experience would be an advantage
A strong communicator who can provide appropriate advice at all levels within the business
An independent worker able to prioritise a varied workload
Full UK working rights are also essential
