Welder/ Fabricator
Due to continued growth, Fleming Agri-Products have an EXCITING opportunity for a Welder/Fabricator to join our team.

Fleming Agri Products is based in Newbuilding’s in the North West of Northern Ireland and currently has over 120 employees working in a modern purpose-built factory.
The company has an extensive dealer network throughout the UK and Ireland and exports products to several European countries as well as Australia and New Zealand. A significant expansion of its facilities has recently been completed and will provide a platform to expand production and further develop export markets. The company has a long history within the industry stretching back over 160 years and is now looking to the future success of the organisation.

About the role
Reference: PW 20-07
To set up and operate welding machines and efficiently process metal components to required quality standards.
Essential Criteria:
· Extensive welding experience within metal fabrication.
· Must be able to use Mig
· Can read and understand engineering weldment drawings.
· Good interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work in a team
· Determined individual.
· Flexible and adaptable.
· Able and willing to work overtime when required
· Able and willing to work Day and Evening Shift patterns.
For Chassis Welding the following are also essential:
· Fully capable of working with jigs, fixtures and hand build fabrications to high standard of accuracy
· Working knowledge of welding machine settings, Gas flows and amperage usage on various materials.
· Able to change reels and torch components. Able to trouble shoot welding problems.
· Able to fabricate complex metal assembly’s from engineering drawings.
· Able to produce vertical & overhead welds to consistently high standard.
Good timekeeping, attendance and disciplinary records are pre-requisites for this post.
Desirable Criteria:
· GCSE or equivalent (2 at Grade C or above)
· Engineering Qualification
· Experience of welding aluminium within an Engineering Environment
· Health & Safety knowledge

The Fleming Agri factory is based in Newbuildings, North West Northern Ireland. The purpose built factory was established in 1983 on a modest half acre site. Over the years the factory has had several expansion developments including a £1.1m expansion which was completed in 2013. More recently a new 22,000 square feet factory has been opened mid 2020 for the manufacture of larger capacity trailers and vacuum tankers. With the pace of new technology moving so fast, the company embraces a policy of continuous improvement, involving the most up to date design packages, CNC production machinery and processes including robotic welding.
