Assistant Golf Professional
We are looking for an Assistant Golf Professional to join our team at The Springs Resort & Golf Club in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. Fantastic hourly rate of £12.39 plus introductory bonus!
This is a permanent position to work full time hours. This will be 40 hours across variable days which will include weekends and bank holidays.
20% of tuition income is paid as commission for this role.
Flexibility is essential to suit the needs of the business.

About the role
Main responsibilities:
The successful Assistant Golf Professional will
· Provide high levels of customer service to the members and guests at The Springs Resort & Golf Club whilst assisting in running a successful retail and coaching facility.
· Attention to custom-fitting, maintaining a junior academy and beginners coaching with the option to expand to more established players.
· Collect green fees and process payment in line with Club procedures, including shop purchases and green fees.
· Carry out opening and closing procedures following standard operating procedures for till reconciliation, site security etc.
· Assist in organising and running tournaments, and other events, to help make them a success.
· Organise and control play ensuring that customers receive the best service and enjoyment during their day.
· Supervise the daily operation of the golf shop under the direction of the Golf Manager.
· Offer specialist advice using product knowledge, recommend products and services to meet customer requirements.
· Follow all established shop procedures, including those for payment processing, handling customer complaints, opening and closing, health and safety, security etc.
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, Club officials/facility owners, members, guests and visitors.
Requirements:
PGA Trainee or fully qualified PGA Professional. We are looking for a hard working, enthusiastic and self motivated individual. Excellent customer service and strong interpersonal skills. Interest in retailing and good selling skills.
