We are currently seeking a Full Time Bodyshop/Accident Repair Supervisor, reporting to the Bodyshop Manager, to fulfil the following:

About the role
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Daily operational supervision of a team of Bodyshop Operatives and Apprentices
· Providing advice and guidance to the team on all repairs with particular focus on:
- Metal, Electrical and Trim
- Fabrication and welding
- Accessory fitment (lights, lightbars, sideskirts etc)
- Jig and Bench work (chassis and cab alignment)
- Steering and axle alignments
- Truck Hydraulics (installation and repair)
- IVA preparation.
- ADR and Safe Loading Pass preparation
- HGV/LGV accident repair estimates
· Coaching and mentoring technicians and apprentices to develop skills as necessary
· Ensure proper products and processes are being used
· Ensure most productive and efficient procedures are being followed
· Plan work spaces/parking to best utilize space available (keep doors and access ways clear)
· Ensuring requirement for re-work on all repairs is kept to a minimum
· Ensuring Bodyshop office is kept regularly updated on progress with jobs, particularly if issues arise (at daily meetings)
· Ensuring job cards are fully completed and signed off prior to submission to admin staff
· Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations in the Bodyshop at all times
· Request parts order, allocate parts as required
· Assist with staff reviews and appraisals
· Ad hoc duties as requested by Bodyshop Manager
What you will need
Required criteria
- Possess demonstrable technical experience of repairs within a Bodyshop environment in the above listed areas
- Insist on the highest quality of workmanship whilst concentrating on efficiencies
- Possess a valid driving licence
- Work with safety in mind at all times
- Be self-motivated, proactive and have the ability to work on their own initiative
- Have the ability to prioritise effectively and be highly organised
- Have a responsible and methodical attitude to work
- Have a willingness to undertake further development as required to benefit impact of the role
Desired criteria
- Previous experience of supervising staff and coaching others would be advantageous
- Possession of an HGV licence would be desirable
