About the role

Job Title: Trainee Accountant ACCA 

 Reporting: Finance Director

 Duties include but not limited to:

·        Sales ledger maintenance, to include raising and posting sales invoices

·        Purchase ledger administration, to include supplier payment runs and dealing with queries

·        Cash and bank management dealing with; lodgements, reconciliations and expenses

·        Balance Sheet reconciliations and resolution of associated queries

·        Dealing with resident queries

·        Support in the preparation of; vat returns, management accounts and statutory audit

·        Ad hoc accounting and clerical duties as required

Essential Criteria:

·        Relevant degree or part qualified with a recognised accountancy body

·        Strong IT skills including popular office software packages e.g. Excel

·        Excellent communication skills.

·        Good organisational and time management skills, with experience of working to deadlines

·        Excellent command of spoken and written English

·        Eligibility to live and work in the UK

 

Desirable Criteria:

·        Experience of working in the Hospitality and / or Care Sectors

·        Accounts related experience or experience working within a finance department

·        1 years’ experience with Sage 50

·        Degree or Part Qualified through a recognised accountancy body
