Our Lady's Care Home in Belfast is a purpose-built service which has 98 large en-suite bedrooms. Located in the heart of west Belfast, the home has superb links with the local community and delivers nursing care with an ethos of 'excellence as standard'.  

The home offers its own in-house occupational therapy service which is based on engaging residents in meaningful and occupational processes to support independence, recovery and sustain hobbies and interests of all who reside there. Nursing is at the core of Our Lady's, the most clinically competent, capable workforce strive to deliver gold standard care 24-hours a day, across our 2 Dementia Units and 2 Nursing units.

About the role

Job Purpose:

To ensure the highest standards of patient care are delivered through the effective, efficient, and safe running of the nursing home but particularly your assigned unit.

Assists the Home Manager and Deputy Manager in managing all aspects in the daily running of the home including staff management, overall responsibility for standards of resident care, resident assessment, resident  admission and implementation of Health and Safety procedures.

What you will need

Required criteria

  • Nursing 1st Level Qualification
  • NMC Registration
  • Have significant post qualifying experience
  • Current PDP up to date and willing to undertake any additional training as deemed necessary to fulfill your role
  • Ability to work set hours but flexible to meet the needs of the business Good General Health (medically fit)
  • Must have a good command of written and spoken English and a valid work permit

Desired criteria

  • Management qualification
  • 1 years’ experience in a similar role working at management level
  • Nursing of the Elderly in a Nursing Home Setting
