Production Planning Assistant

The supply chain assistant will work as part of the planning team and aid in the creation of the daily production plan and freeze plans. Ensuring that capacity, WIP and material constraints are considered along with product availability issues.To be successful in this role, the candidate will need excellent interpersonal skills, strong analytical talents and can effectively communicate with others.
Primary responsibilities
Assist in managing and maintaining the production plan.
Assist in managing and maintaining the frozen plan.
Issue updated plans to production.
Assist in controlling and monitoring finished goods ensuring no shortages and that any stock at risk is communicated to the commercial teams.
Measure key production metrics. Conformance and adherence.
Ensure components are in place on time to meet with varying production dynamics.
Order and maintain fresh ingredients so that stock is in place where required and is consumed with no risk of stock out of life.
Supply forecasts to suppliers.
Report forecast accuracy metrics to management.
Assist planning management where required.
KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Self-motivated, an excellent team player and able to communicate effectively.IT skills, including Excel, Word & Power Point. Strong knowledge of excel formulas (VLOOKUP’s/Sum if for example).Strong problem solving & numeracy skills.

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

The role will involve attaining Company production targets to satisfy customer demands, very often to tight schedules.
