HR Operations Advisor - FTC Maternity Cover 12 months - Worthing, Office Based

If so, Guild Care wants YOU to join our team as an HR Operations Advisor - covering maternity leave (12month contract) – a key role focused on performance improvement, employee support, and HR excellence.
As our HR Operations Advisor, you’ll be the first point of contact – alongside the HR & Performance Manager – for all staff HR queries. You’ll champion consistency, fairness, and professionalism in all things people related.
Guild Care have 3 care homes, 16 charity shops, 2 large office spaces and a range of community and disability support services. Working in a varied and fast-paced environment, you’ll lead on initiatives to boost employee engagement, retention, and wellbeing, while supporting services with effective performance management, sickness reduction, and HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities
Acting as a joint contact point for employee and manager HR queries
Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies and initiatives
Driving a performance management culture across services
Coaching managers through performance, attendance, and conduct-related matters
Leading data analysis on staff retention, exit interviews, and HR trends
Supporting formal HR processes – disciplinary, grievance, capability, sickness
Championing employee wellbeing and engagement through internal and national initiatives
Ensuring HR systems and records are accurate, current, and compliant
Working with IT to develop efficient reporting and tracking systems
Staying ahead of employment law and best practice changes

What you will need
Required criteria
- Level 3 CIPD or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge of HR policies, procedures and systems
- Actively promotes fairness, diversity and equal opportunities
- Experience of supporting senior managers when dealing with grievance and disciplinary cases
Desired criteria
- Interest in or currently working to Level 5 CIPD or above or equivalent
- Work or experience in the charity / care sector or volunteering
