Leading Lives is an employee‑owned, values‑driven social enterprise providing high‑quality support for people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs across Suffolk. We work in partnership with families, local agencies, and communities to help people lead the lives they choose.
Our services include daytime activities, community support, short breaks, supported living arrangements, and personalised 1:1 assistance—giving volunteers meaningful opportunities to make a genuine impact.

As a Social Enterprise, are we fully committed to doing all we can to help people to feel fulfilled, build confidence, develop skills and experiences as well as preparing for the world of work. Wherever possible, we will facilitate opportunities for apprentices, work experience and volunteering. That’s why we proudly support and encourage volunteering within our services, whether it's helping with activities, sharing skills, or simply spending time with those we support.
A volunteer is a person who gives freely of his/her time, skills, and experience without expectation of financial reward. Volunteering can take many forms and requires a variety of different skills; due to this we recognise the immense benefits that volunteers bring to us and in return, we will give our volunteers a Training Programme, a Volunteering Buddy and an opportunity to exercise skills flexibly in various environments and long with ongoing development and training opportunities

About the role
🤝 Volunteer Role
As a front-line volunteer (Support Worker, Gardener, Kitchen staff or Art Room Volunteer) you will help individuals maximise independence, develop new skills, and live fulfilling lives.
As an Admin or Maintenance Volunteer you will be supporting our staff to deliver services for the wider organisation
Volunteering with us also gives you a chance to explore a future career in social care while growing your confidence and experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting our customers with:
Daily living tasks and building independent living skills
Community activities, hobbies, and meaningful social opportunities
Helping individuals work towards their own goals
Or
Supporting our staff with:
Admin tasks
Volunteering Events
Maintenance duties
