About the role
Responsible for ensuring Compliance and Enforcement of all quality, environmental, safety and health policies and procedures
Generation and maintenance of quality documentation in line with current legislation
Reporting, auditing, investigating, analysing and documenting all QESH incidents.
Acting as Safety training coordinator
Undertaking inspections, safety reports and risk assessments
Internal reporting and auditing
Compliance and Enforcement of all QA requirements with the generation and maintenance of QA documentation.
Overseeing the reporting of customer satisfaction requests, customer complaints and client quality questionnaires
Responsible for ensuring all employees have the appropriate Health and Safety Training for their role
Internal auditing and QMS Review
Manage fuel cards for employees
Arrange insurance for and assign vehicles to new employees
Liaise with insurance provider regarding any accidents or issues
Ensure any fixed penalty points are correctly assigned to relevant staff
Any other ad hoc tasks
Health & Safety:
Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company policy at all times
Report any accidents or issues regarding health & safety appropriately
Ensure all Risk Assessments & safe systems of work are read, understood, signed and followed
Observe & follow all manual handling practices
What you will need
Required criteria
- Possess a degree or third level qualification
- NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent Health and Safety qualification
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Engineering, Construction Industry or similar environment in a Health & Safety role in Health & Safety
- Working knowledge of Quality Assurance within the construction industry
- Good knowledge of safe construction methods of work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent IT skills
- Strong Knowledge of Legislation in relation to Health & Safety
- Working experience of auditing / operating ISO 9001/14001/18001 accreditation system
- Valid CSR Card or formal Health and Safety
- Direct experience of managing staff and leading a team
- Full UK Driving License
