As IT Administrator, you will play a key role within the IT Department in delivering an efficient and effective service by supporting daily operations of the business, providing IT hardware and software support, resolving IT issues, developing and improving IT system’s throughout the company.

About the role

Responsibilities:

The following list constitutes the key tasks and duties of your post upon which your job performance will be assessed. Tasks are not in any particular order, therefore the sequence which they appear should not be interpreted as indicating priority or relative importance.

Duties will include:

  • Provide effective 1st/2nd line IT system support for all staff on ticket board - Hardware & Software.

  • Liaising with 3rd party support teams to resolve IT issues.

  • Carrying out Phishing test’s for all user’s.

  • Preparation, Installation and Deployment of new device set ups.

  • Office 365 administration.

  • Troubleshooting ticket’s for hardware and software issues for Laptops, PCs, Printers and Scanners.

  • Implement Scheduled Maintenance on company device’s.

  • Ensure security of company information systems, both Physical and electronic.

  • Preparation of yard tour equipment.

  • Maintain and keep an updated inventory of all IT supplies.

  • Replace any IT devices as required.

  • Maintain a tidy and organised IT Office & Server Room.

  • Act in a confidential and trustworthy manner at all times.

  • Deal with users in a courteous, professional and efficient manner at all times.

  • Online sales of old IT equipment.

  • Any other duties as required by your Manager

We use reserve lists for positions where more than one candidate is deemed suitable for a position. Reserve lists are in place for 12 months during which reserve candidates will be offered the same or similar post should one become available during this time.

What you will need

Required criteria

  • • 5 GCSE Grades A – C (or equivalent) including English, IT & Maths
  • • Minimum 1 years’ experience working within an IT department (can include work placement)
  • • Computer problem solving
  • • Proficient in the use of MS Office
  • • Trustworthy • High attention to detail
  • • Strong multi-tasking, organisational and time management skills
  • • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • • Great communication, patience and interpersonal skills
  • • Full valid driving license

Desired criteria

  • • IT related degree (can be pending results)
  • • Office 365 administration • Managing printer’s
  • • Knowledge of computer networking and infrastructure
