Assistant Bar Manager (Full Time)
The 4-star Maritime Hotel in Bantry, proudly certified as a Great Place to Work, are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Assistant Bar Manager to support the day-to-day running of our bar and ensure every guest has a memorable experience. About the role
Key Responsibilities
Support the Bar Manager in daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Manage and motivate bar staff, ensuring excellent customer service.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with licensing laws.
Assist in managing stock control, ordering, and inventory management.
Train and develop team members to deliver consistent quality.
Handle customer queries, feedback, and resolve issues effectively.
Contribute to cocktail/menu development and promotions to drive sales.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 2 years’ experience working behind the bar in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Previous management or supervisory experience in a bar or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of drinks, cocktails, and bar operations
Excellent customer service skills with a guest-first attitude
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Confident in leading a team while working collaboratively
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
A proactive, enthusiastic approach and the ability to maintain a high-energy atmosphere
