About the role

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth and efficient daily operation of the Front Office to the highest standards of guest satisfaction.

  • Deliver a warm welcome and ensure outstanding and personalised guest care throughout the entire stay.

  • Handle and resolve guest complaints promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and follow-through.

  • Manage daily business activities, ensuring VIPs groups, and all guests receive personalised attention.

  • Foster strong internal communication through regular team meetings and updates.

  • Assist with room allocation to ensure a controlled and effective process.

  • Maximise revenue opportunities through proactive promotion of hotel facilities and services.

  • Uphold hotel policies regarding invoicing, cash handling and credit control.

  • Maintain impeccable presentation and cleanliness of the Front Desk and associated areas.

  • Collaborate effectively with other departments including Reservations, Accommodation, Nights, Concierge, Sales and F&B.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar or supervisory role within a luxury hotel environment.

  • Proven experience acting as Duty Manager.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • A natural flair for hospitality, with a passion for exceeding guest expectations.

  • Must be familiar with the Opera reservations system .

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Strong upselling and cross-selling abilities.

  • Positive, proactive attitude with a desire for continuous improvement.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, etc.
