Assistant Front Office Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities:
Ensure the smooth and efficient daily operation of the Front Office to the highest standards of guest satisfaction.
Deliver a warm welcome and ensure outstanding and personalised guest care throughout the entire stay.
Handle and resolve guest complaints promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and follow-through.
Manage daily business activities, ensuring VIPs groups, and all guests receive personalised attention.
Foster strong internal communication through regular team meetings and updates.
Assist with room allocation to ensure a controlled and effective process.
Maximise revenue opportunities through proactive promotion of hotel facilities and services.
Uphold hotel policies regarding invoicing, cash handling and credit control.
Maintain impeccable presentation and cleanliness of the Front Desk and associated areas.
Collaborate effectively with other departments including Reservations, Accommodation, Nights, Concierge, Sales and F&B.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in a similar or supervisory role within a luxury hotel environment.
Proven experience acting as Duty Manager.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A natural flair for hospitality, with a passion for exceeding guest expectations.
Must be familiar with the Opera reservations system .
Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
Strong upselling and cross-selling abilities.
Positive, proactive attitude with a desire for continuous improvement.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, etc.
