We’re currently seeking an Activities Co-Ordinator to join our team at Ballincurrig Care Centre, Leamlara, Co. Cork. If you’re creative, compassionate, and love working with people, this is your opportunity to make a real difference.

Are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Can adapt quickly to support the home on short notice (relief cover)
Have experience in a healthcare or social care setting (preferred)
Understand the value of building confidence, autonomy, and joy in daily life

About the role
What You’ll Do
As a Relief Activities Co-Ordinator, you’ll support our team by leading engaging activities that promote the emotional, physical, and social wellbeing of our residents. You’ll help create a homely and enriching atmosphere — even if just for a day — through fun, creativity, and connection.
In this role, you will:
Organise and lead group and one-to-one activities that promote social, physical, and mental wellbeing
Support residents in exploring new hobbies, talents, and pastimes
Create a programme of inclusive, engaging, and accessible activities
Foster autonomy, confidence, and a sense of purpose through positive engagement
Collaborate with nursing and care staff to understand residents’ interests and needs
Document participation and progress, including photos and consent where required
Help reduce boredom, loneliness, and anxiety by creating a stimulating environment
