Main function:

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the Marketing strategy for An Chúirt Hotel in line with the Gallen Hospitality overall objectives.  The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the planning and direction of marketing campaigns to generate interest in and sales of An Chúirt services and products.  

This role will require close collaboration with the Gallen Hospitality Senior Management Team and in particular the Group Sales & Marketing Manager, to ensure that the most appropriate market is identified and managed.

About the role

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor and co-ordinate the Marketing strategy for An Chúirt Hotel to maximise total hotel revenue at all times, with particular attention to generating sales.

  • Implement Marketing strategy, operations, procedures and best practice.

  • Identify, research and secure appointments with new accounts and agents both nationally and internationally.  

  • Prepare relevant departmental reports, including but not limited to, sales reports, marketing strategy reports and revenue forecasts.

  • Provide pricing for all corporate, leisure and group enquiries. 

  • Responsible for overall management of the online booking agents for the Sales and Marketing department.

  • Embed a cost-conscious culture in the An Chúirt Hotel by developing, reviewing and reporting on KPIs in your area of responsibility.

  • Monitor departmental pick up patterns, lead times, costs and budgets and evaluation against KPIs.

  • Take responsibility for the marketing procedures and the training of relevant employees in accordance with same.  

  • Audit all marketing practices on a regular basis ensuring that the relevant procedure is being adhered to at all times.   

  • Develop and maintain trusting relationships with existing Gallen Group business and long standing relationships.

  • Develop and maintain trusting relationships with external stakeholders to best understand industry trends and to promote An Chúirt Hotel.  

  • Develop and maintain trusting relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure that sales and marketing opportunities are maximized, as well as to update on commercial activity. 

  • Represent An Chúirt Hotel at industry events to ensure that all revenue opportunities are developed and secured. 

  • Embed a revenue management culture throughout An Chúirt Hotel by communicating regularly and providing guidance and support to staff where necessary.   

  • Liaise with the Group Revenue Manager for rollout of seasonal, weekly and annual strategies to maximise on room revenue.

  • Manage all aspects of Sales and Marketing activities to ensure An Chúirt Hotel maximises on all revenue channels. 

What you will need

Required criteria

  • 3-5 years experience in marketing or sales
  • 2 Years' managerial experience
  • Third Level Qualification iMmarketing, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a Related Field

Desired criteria

  • Experience in management may be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
  • The ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
  • The ability to work under pressure.
