To be responsible for the provision of a professional and comprehensive personnel, training and development service to the Hotel Management Team, to support the Hotel and its achievement of business objectives, and to ensure Human Resource management is fully integrated with and adds value to the business.

About the role

Duties will include:

  • To ensure accurate and comprehensive personnel and training records are maintained, both manual and electronic, providing appropriate information to support managers in decision making and effective people management, and in line with Company policy.

  • To provide a rapid response recruitment service for vacancies, including sourcing and short listing candidates, participating in the selection process and ensuring compliance with legal requirements and Company standards.

  • To maintain comprehensive recruitment data to ensure compliance with Equality legislation and provide comprehensive data to inform future recruitment decisions.

  • To ensure general induction and all other necessary training for staff is completed to enable them perform their job role effectively and efficiently.

  • To identify, in conjunction with line managers, training and learning needs at Hotel and  individual level to assist in the achievement of Company, Hotel and individual objectives, ensuring that training is carried out as required.

  • To advise line management on the interpretation and implementation of legislative requirements, personnel policies and procedures to facilitate and promote sound employee relations, assisting with the application of the Company Discipline and Grievance procedures as appropriate.

  • To use all opportunities to coach line managers to develop their people management skills.

  • To compile regular and ad hoc reports as required, and to work with managers to make best use of information resources, e.g. the management of staff attendance, equality and turnover.

  • To participate in the development and implementation of appropriate Company policies, procedures and initiatives to support the continuous development of the Human Resource function within the Hotel and Group.

  • Any other duties as required by management/directors.

  • At Least One Year's Experience in a Similar Role
