Food and Beverage Staff

Food and Beverage Managers

Main function:

The Food & Beverage server will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and quality standards in relation to all restaurant activity in Gallen Hospitality.  The post holder will work with the restaurant team to provide a safe and hygienic service, with focus on quality and customer service at all times.

This role will require close collaboration with the Food & Beverage Managers to ensure the best possible standards of customer services and highest revenue at all times.

About the role

Main duties and responsibilities 

  • Responsible for the service of food and beverage in an effective and efficient manner.

  • Ensure that you have full knowledge of menus, product ingredients and alternative food choices in relation to allergens and dietary requirements of customers. 

  • Ensure that the restaurant and all food service areas are set up and closed down in accordance with standard operating procedures.

  • Ensure that all waste is kept to a minimum, including food, wine and breakages.  

  • Responsible for the safekeeping of all Gallen Hospitality restaurant property and resources such as centrepieces, crockery, cutlery, etc.  

  • Ensure service standards are met across your area of responsibility.

  • Create a positive image and reputation of Gallen Hospitality when engaging with customers.

  • Ensure that the general appearance and presentation of the restaurant areas are to a high standard.  This is to include; cleanliness, layout, lighting, music, heating, external premises. 

  • Responsible for the handling and safekeeping of all restaurant revenue (credit cards/cash/invoice) in accordance with standard operating procedures.

  • Ensure that the restaurant service is operated safely and hygienically, with a focus on quality customer service.  

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and standard operating procedures for your area of responsibility.     

  • Ensure only approved cleaning materials and equipment is used when carrying our cleaning duties.  

  • Ensure that all customer queries/complaints are resolved in an efficient and courteous manner, reporting any queries/complaints to the Manager where necessary.
