Role: Contract Sales Manager
Location of Role: Carnbane, Newry
Rule Purpose: To lead and manage Contract Sales, achieving ambitious sales targets through existing customer relationships and the development of new business opportunities. Oversee the strategic and operational coordination of contract sales within the trading department.
Accountable to: Chief Commercial Officer
Key Relationships: Customers, Suppliers, Trading, Finance and Warehouse team

About the role
Sales Leadership:
Achieve and exceed sales and margin targets.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand customer base and market reach.
Take ownership of the contract sales portfolio, driving profitability and efficiency.
Customer and Supplier Management:
Manage and develop opportunities with existing customers, ensuring retention and growth.
Identify and secure new customer business to grow market share.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure optimal terms and supply reliability.
Operations and Coordination:
Coordinate cross-functional efforts to deliver on customer orders, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
Collaborate with colleagues in trading, finance, and warehousing to optimize sales execution.
Oversee all administration tasks associated with contract sales using systems and Excel.
Team Collaboration and Development:
Lead by example to inspire a high-performing team culture.
Support and advise colleagues across the business
Support wider company initiatives and projects when required.
Analysis and Reporting:
Use strong analytical skills to process and interpret large amounts of data, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and key insights for senior management.
What you will need
Required criteria
- Minimum 5 years of sales or contract management experience.
- Proven ability to deliver against sales targets with a results-driven mindset.
- Experience in negotiation and supplier management
- Strong commercial outlook with a structured approach to sales planning.
- Use strong analytical skills to process and interpret large amounts of data, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Experience within FMCG environment.
- Ability to deal with Suppliers
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to interpret and process large amounts of information.
- Strong analytical skills
