Spa Manager (Maternity Cover)

Main function:
The Spa Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Spa, ensuring exceptional customer service and quality standards. The Spa Manager will coordinate and organise the Spa team to provide an environment of relaxation and tranquillity, with a focus on quality and customer service at all times.
This role will require close collaboration with the General Manager to ensure that the highest standard of customer service is achieved at all times.
About the role
Main duties and responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Spa to ensure adequate resources are assigned to areas of need and that the required standard of service is provided at all times.
- Take responsibility for creating a welcoming and friendly environment within the V Spa.
- Take responsibility for the general appearance and cleanliness of the V Spa to include; thermal suite, reception area, corridors, treatment rooms, public areas and toilets.
- Ensure adequate level of treatment products are available to sell and meet critical business needs by maintaining and auditing inventory and placing orders where necessary.
- Monitor occupancy forecasts to ensure that adequate staffing is available.
- Prepare V Spa rotas to ensure that staffing levels meet critical business needs.
- Ensure that the V Spa service is operated safely and hygienically with a focus on quality customer service.
- Ensure that standard operating procedures are in place and up-to-date in the V Spa department.
- Embed a cost conscious culture in the Villa Rose Hotel by controlling, reviewing and reporting on KPIs for the V Spa.
- Take responsibility for the V Spa procedures and the training of relevant employees in accordance with same.
- Audit all V Spa practices on a regular basis ensuring that the relevant procedure is being adhered to at all times.
- Develop and maintain trusting relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure that the highest quality of customer service is provided at all times and that knowledge is shared on a regular basis.
- Responsible for ensuring that the V Spa team create a positive image and reputation of Gallen Hospitality when engaging with customers.
- Investigate complaints regarding the V Spa service and equipment and take corrective action where necessary.
- Ensure that the proper maintenance of all equipment is adhered to in line with the recommended standard and make arrangements for repair or replacement of used and damaged equipment.
- Ensure only approved cleaning materials and equipment is used by all staff.
- Maintain the client database in line with GDPR and to manage client appointments.
- Develop and maintain trusting relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure that revenue trends and opportunities are maximised, as well as to update on operational activity. This includes the attendance at operational and Head of Department meetings.
What you will need
Required criteria
- Proficient in managing the facility, maintaining supplies and recruiting staff.
- At Least Two Years' Experience in Managing a Spa Facility
- Evidence Proficiency in Controlling the Supplies of a Spa Facility
Desired criteria
- Extensive experience in setting up Spa salons offering beauty treatments and massages to clients
- Solid understanding of hospitality management and methods to ensure customer satisfaction
