Quality Technician (HESS Cuber Machine)

We have a Night Shift opportunity for a Quality Technician (HESS 2 Cuber)

The main role will involve quality inspection of the cured product and ensure the products are textured to a high quality standard, ensuring dry line is running in a safe and efficient manner. 

We will train you to set up the texturing machine, change product programmes and ensure product is textured to a high standard.  You will select products for testing / samples and also ensure production targets are achieved.  

You will carry out quality checks, record data, identify issues and problem solve in terms of maintenance and quality issues.

You will start to earn at least £628 per week + £500 joining Bonus (Min starting salary £34,556

Night Shift = 4 Nights per week - 44 hours per week  - Fixed Shift Pattern = Work Life Balance

About the role

We will train you to:

  • Understand production plan
  • Set up dryline to run in a safe and efficient manner
  • Set up texturing machine – ensure product is textured to a high standard
  • Change product programmes in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ensure quality products to a high standard
  • Select products for testing / samples
  • Ensure product bales are properly labelled / date coded
  • Achieve production targets and achieve efficient cycle times
  • Inspect and Quality control Products to ensure they meet required standard and specification.  Record the data. 
  • Identify and report maintenance issues
  • Problem solving in terms of maintenance / quality issues
  • Safely lock out and Isolate machine during cleaning / maintenance
  • Work as part of a team to produce high quality Products with world class Machinery.
  • Successfully carry out a product change
  • Understanding and knowledge of Machine and each control operations and how to program settings
  • Ensure machines are locked out, isolated and props in place before cleaning or routine maintenance commences.
  • Carry out basic adjustments and routine maintenance on machine on completion of training and as deemed competent by supervisor / manager.  
  • Monitor the machine for any mechanical faults.  Report maintenance issues
  • Adhere to all Quality Standards within the Company. #
  • Complete check-sheets as required.
  • Problem solving in terms of maintenance / quality issues

What you will need

Required criteria

  • No experience necessary as full training will be provided.

Desired criteria

  • 5 GCSE’s including English & Maths A – C.
  • Operating experience.
  • Full and clean driving licence
  • Experience of Operating Control Panels
  • Interest in Working with Machines
  • Previous experience in a similar role / Industry
  • Interest in Quality
