About the role

  • Key Duties

    • Manage and control all aspects of Purchase Invoice Processing including:
      • Processing of invoices and matching to purchase orders.
      • Dealing with invoice queries and liaising with suppliers to rectify.
      • Preparing and allocating payments.
      • Reconciliation of supplier statements.
      • Monthly reconciliation of purchase ledger to general ledger.
    • Preparation and posting of banking and credit card movements.
    • Supporting the Finance Director in the preparation of reconciled monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts, to tight deadlines.
    • Supporting the Finance Director in the management of cashflow.
    • Supporting the Finance Director in the preparation of the annual budget.
    • Supporting the business in helping manage our fleet of vehicles.
    • Supporting the business by engaging in business process development.
    • Support & provide cover for the Credit Controller.
    • Any other tasks as instructed by Directors.

    Skills, Experience

    • A part quailed accountant, an accounting technician or someone who is qualified by experience. (3 years in a similar role).
    • Strong computer literacy, competent excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
    • Relevant experience in the use of an integrated accounting package (preferably Sage).
