Despatch Operative

·         Ensure that pallet trucks are kept in a safe and clean condition;


·         Keep all applicable dispatch documentation up to date;


·         Ensure that traceability of all product is maintained via box end labels;


·         Liase closely with the Production Manager with regards to dispatch schedules;


·         Liaise closely with the QC technician regarding quality issues via box end labels;


·         Pack and palletise orders in a timely, organised manner according to the schedule;


·         Ensure that date codes are correct, printing is legible on all crates, that outer labels are correct and applied to all outer bags/cases;


·         Maintain the packhouse floor in a clean, safe state; pallets stacked in the correct area, lines free from clutter, tubers lifted from the floor and disposed of;


·         With the help of the Packing Operatives, maintain the area around the line in a clean state, through a clean as you go policy and at the end of each shift;


·         Notify the Production Manager of any problems with the operation of the dispatch machinery or of any perceived quality changes with crates, labels or ware;


·         Ensure that you meet Company timekeeping and attendance requirements;


·         Maintain competent factory and hygiene rules at all times; 


·         Ensure that you meet Company timekeeping and attendance requirements;


·         Follow all Health and Safety guidelines as per Company Health and Safety policy;


·         Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed;


·         As part of the team, give advice and help all other departments within the Company, whenever needed.
