Full Circle Generation (FCG) is a gasification plant situated in Belfast’s Harbour Estate and is capable of recovering energy form 160,000mt of refuse derived fuel each year.  FCG is an investor led consortium of Equitis, P3P Partners and River Ridge, and is managed by EMS Management Services Ltd.

About the role

We are currently seeking a technically minded individual to join our team as an EC&I Engineer.  This role will involve supporting the Engineering Manager in the management, supervision, planning and co-ordination of the ECI maintenance team.  The EC&I Engineer will also be responsible for ensuring continuous high standards of safety, quality and environmental performance throughout our plant.

What you will need

Required criteria

  • HNC/HND in an Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering discipline. (Qualifications below this level may be acceptable if accompanied by suitable experience)
  • Experience in the maintenance of plant related E/C&I equipment.
  • Experience of working in a technically challenging environment.
  • Full understanding of P&IDs, loop checking and electrical drawings.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of analogue and digital instrumentation calibration regimes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of electrical distribution systems, their protection and switching.
  • Computer literate, ability to operate various software systems.
  • A flexible approach to out of hours call-out, and changes to working patterns where necessary to the needs of the business.

Desired criteria

  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
  • Degree level qualification in an Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering discipline.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of preventative maintenance and defect repair/interrogation on: DCS/SCADA, PLCs, analogue and digital instrumentation and transducers, Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of Electricity Supply Industry Standard Safe Systems of work, Safety Rules and Permit to Work Systems.
