Group Procurement Officer
Due to the expansion of the Conway Group, we are seeking to recruit a Group Procurement Officer to strengthen our existing team based at the head office in Magherafelt.
You will enjoy a varied role and will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth day-to-day logistics operations.
The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised individual with a strong background in procurement:
Main Duties to include but not limited to:
Responsible for demand and shortfall planning, as well as communications.
Establish procurement processes.
Responsible for systems maintenance and reporting.
Procure materials/services promptly, optimising the cost with the required quality.
Review and process purchase orders for suppliers in relation to works Orders.
Builds and maintains relationships with suppliers, securing good procurement deals.
Negotiate pricing agreements with suppliers, leverage demand profiles and act as a “line of defence” against margin erosion.
Schedule deliveries and ensure OTDIF (on-time delivery in full).
Key Skills:
Demonstrate a proactive and optimistic attitude, coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration within a team.
Proficient in MS Office
Strong adherence to quality assurance and good document management skills
Display the ability to organise and prioritise tasks and responsibilities efficiently.
The ability to work in a team and on own initiative, including working under pressure and delivering high-quality outputs to time and cost constraints.
Must have a full clean UK driving licence.
Desirable Criteria:
Degree or similar qualification beneficial.
Relevant experience gained in a similar industry and role.
