Senior Project Quantity Surveyor
Due to the expansion of Group activities, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Project Quantity Surveyor to strengthen our existing team based at head office in Magherafelt.

About the role
The Role
We are looking for an ambitious and forward thinking Senior Project Quantity Surveyor with demonstrable experience and knowledge of the following duties:
Main Duties:
Establishing the project budget including the allocation of cost codes to ensure detailed and accurate cost reporting is achieved.
Seek to minimize the cost of a project and enhance value for money whilst still achieving the required standards and quality.
Build and maintain professional relationships.
Contract and sub-contract management and administration as required.
Monitor and report on expenditure on contracts compared to budgets and forecasts.
The day to day managing of staff resources to ensure the project costs are known and managed effectively.
Handling sub-contract issues as they arise.
Ensuring the variation/compensation event mechanism is correctly and timeously followed to ensure the commercial protection of the business.
Liaising with procurement to set and agree allowances for the project.
Reporting progress regularly to ensure that target objectives and expectations are met.
To ensure that work is carried out in accordance with company health and safety policy.
Attending progress/commercial meetings and representing the company in a commercial capacity.
Responsible for coordination of all project disciplines in conjunction with site manager and ultimately delivering high quality projects.
Prepare valuations of work in progress and completed works.
Prepare labour costing of project to determine feasibility and profitability.
